select a calendar default

Before the current changes, when I selected a calendar for an event, the same calendar stayed in the drop down box until I selected a different calendar. Now, it defaults back to a random calendar, so I have to change the selection each time. Is there any way to change this so that the calendar will remain the same until another one is selected?
