Is there any work being done or has it been considered to have calling based Google-like accounts? What i mean by this is i have been in several wards/stakes that create Google accounts to share documents, collaborate and email. They are somewhat hindered with what information they can use because it's not a church sanctioned account. What i think would be very useful is to have a private church server running there types of apps. Similar to how the church has the @myldsmail.net for missionaries. These accounts would be tied to your calling and access would follow new members that were called. This way a new bishop, for example, being called as soon ans it's official in LCR can access all needed historical documents in active circulation with the other auxiliaries. Also church sensitive emails and such wouldn't be floating around on personal accounts. Its a system already in use by some areas but i always thought having an official church version would help people be more efficient and not accidentally leak information.

The church rarely announces plans ahead of time.
