Footnotes have disappeared

Footnotes have disappeared

About three weeks ago all of the footnotes and personal notes that I have adding to the scriptures disappeared. There seems to be no way in the system to refresh or repair the system. How can I get the footnotes and annotations on the right side of the screen to reappear. I am using a Apple iPad Air.
