Overall UI Design and Interaction Suggestions

Post by austincondiff »

I have mocked up a few quick visual design tweaks to the UI and interactions that would make the app easier and faster to use.

Mobile Prototype Animation Video (best if viewed on an iPhone 6/6s/7 Plus):

1. The typography is a slightly different which gives the app a little character.

2. Note the icon placement is different.

3. When pulling down scrolling past the top of the chapter, you will expand the breadcrumbs menu.

4. When scrolling down, UI disappears out of view, title bar minimizes. When scrolling up, UI returns into view. (Many apps do this now including Safari)

5. When scrolling past the bottom, you will continue to the next chapter (in addition to being able to swipe left). This helps to keep users in the same vertical flow of their scroll making things feel a little more continuous and fluid.

I am really interested to know what the teams thoughts are of this video and these designs. Thanks for checking out my work! ;)
