Chinese characters were changed into pinyin

Last names in our Chinese ward in LDS tools used to show up as their Chinese characters, we just switched wards and now they all show up as English pinyin. This makes it really hard to find ward members because I don't know the pinyin for my ward members' names I just know the characters. How do you switch it back?
