Searching in Tech Forum

Postby zaneclark » Sun Dec 03, 2017 6:21 pm

I find searching to be frustrating or maybe I don't know all the tricks. I'm sure I have seen information on New Stakes but using the terms New Stake brings up only posts with the word New. In fact it states at the beginning of the results that Stake was ignored. I tried the advanced search, with a plus sign in front of each word indicating that I wanted it searched and I get the same result. Is there another way to search?

For tricky subjects I use Google. So to search for New Stake, I'd enter

Code: Select all

"New Stake" site:tech.lds.org/forum

The quotes give priority to posts with that words together and the site: part restricts the results to the forum.
