Can iOS pull LDS Tools Caller ID data into group texts?

Can iOS pull LDS Tools Caller ID data into group texts?
I have the latest version of LDS Tools, latest version of iOS and have enabled LDS Tools in Settings > Phone > Call Blocking & Identification. When I receive a group text from the Family History leader, I see phone numbers not names for the other members in the group. Am I doing something wrong, or is this a limitation of Apple's API? If it is a limitation, will I then need to manually add each group member to my contacts list so that I can see their names in group texts?

Apple's API for caller ID only shows names for calls, not texts. I hope this will change in the future, but for now it's an iOS limitation.
