¿Are temple's dedicatory prayers archived anywhere?

Re: Dedicatory prayers
The Church News site publishes the prayers after temple dedications: https://www.ldschurchnews.com/search?q= ... ory+prayer

Re: Dedicatory prayers
Go to the Church website (LDS.org) and select Families and Individuals, then Temples. Under Find a Temple, use the Temple Maps or the Temple List to select the temple. Scroll down to the bottom of the page under Milestones.
In almost every case, you will find links to all of the dedicatory prayers for that temple, both the original prayer and the prayer from any rededication that may have taken place.

Re: Dedicatory prayers
I realize this is a fairly old thread, however, I wanted to present a follow up question.
Are the dedicatory prayers offered by General Authorities at the groundbreaking ceremony for new temples recorded? Are these archived somewhere? Our stake is interested to have a copy of the groundbreaking dedicatory prayer for our temple to help encourage members, especially those not yet recommend holders, to see the temple grounds as a sacred place they can still receive power from as they seek to draw nearer to God.
Any ideas, thoughts?

Re: Dedicatory prayers
I do not believe they are recorded. I have never seen them posted online.
However, the Church News reports on each groundbreaking. In those articles, I have noticed there is usually a mention of some of the thoughts expressed by speakers at the groundbreaking ceremony. And there is often a mention of specific things included in the prayer dedicating the temple site.
I would start there with the article for your particular temple groundbreaking.

While logged in to the Church web page, go to serve > temples > find your temple and click on the photo link. The dedicatory prayer should be attached after you slide down to the Milestones area at the bottom of the page. It may take a while for newer temple's dedicatory prayers to be uploaded however.

That's why I love this Forum! Thanks for sharing, it's so easy to miss when something like this is added in a very out-of-the-way location. And there's all the re-dedication prayers as well for the various temples that have gone through that process.garystroble wrote: ↑Mon Jun 09, 2025 12:48 am While logged in to the Church web page, go to serve > temples > find your temple and click on the photo link.
