Donating blood on Sunday
Donating blood on Sunday
Is it appropriate for an active LDS member to donate blood on Sunday when asked specifically by the blood bank. My wife had a fairly rare blood type and her platelets are in high demand and are generally used for just a number of patients. When they get low my wife is asked to come in ASAP. This week they asked if she could come in on Sunday. I feel it's OK - act of service and all - but does anyone have a Church guideline on this?

Re: Donating blood on Sunday
My suggestion would be to start with Matthew 12:10-13.
