Unable to install

My wife has a Lenovo 8" tablet with android 5.1 we cannot get it to install. Says installed. It is not.

Is it possible the icon was not created on her home page? If you go to the apps manager (looks like a waffle on my older android tablet, and I slide up from the bottom to get there on my newer android phone) it should list all installed apps, whether a shortcut has been created or not. On my device, hold the icon for the "Tools" app and start to slide it, you should be able to place the shortcut anywhere on her visible screens for ease of access.
