We’ve always used custom callings for Sunday School teachers teaching the Youth class because there isn’t really one in the calling options specifically for that. It obviously isn’t in Primary, but under Sunday School the categories are Presidency, Gospel Doctrine (RIP), then half a dozen options of Course 17, 16, 15 etc., and then just Unassigned and Library. Is this a Utah thing where usually classes are divided by age groups? Because on the East Coast we only have one or two classes for everyone between 11-18.
It probably doesn’t matter much but the data purist in me prefers to use correct terms when logging stuff like this. Just curious what other folks are doing.
How do you categorize Youth Sunday School teachers?

I'd look into combining classes.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

There should not be any need to use custom callings for any SS and Primary classes. Use the standard calling [Sunday School Teacher] or [Primary Teacher].scottbaker38 wrote:We’ve always used custom callings for Sunday School teachers teaching the Youth class because there isn’t really one in the calling options specifically for that. As mentioned combining classes will make things easier........ For example the combined classed will produce a single attendance roll with everyone in the included classes on one roll sheet.

From Handbook 2, 12.4.1:
If you have combined the classes, combine them in the system. To do that, open the class in Leader and Clerk Resources and click on the pencil icon near the class name. You will see menu options that allow you to combine the classes.
By default, youth Sunday School classes are created with one class for each group (Course 11, Course 12, Course 13, ...).For consistency with ordination ages and age-group progression in Aaronic Priesthood quorums and Young Women classes, youth are normally divided into classes based on their age on December 31 of the previous year. Classes could be organized for each age-group, or they could be combined for more than one age-group.
