List of "Gospel Classics" articles

Post by s_brady »

Hello,

Occasionally I come across an article on ChurchOfJesusChrist.org which is labeled, "Gospel Classics".

For example:

Gospel Classics: The Father and the Son

located here:
https://www.churchofjesuschrist.org/stu ... n?lang=eng

Does anyone know of a location that lists articles/talks, etc., with this designation?

Thanks

I wasn't able to find a list, but this might be a start – it looks like there are a lot of them:

Pres. Dallin H. Oaks, in his April 2023 General Conference talk referenced an article in the Improvement Era, August 1916 entitled “The Father and the Son: A Doctrinal Expisition by the First Presidency and the Twelve”.
I searched for the article and found it on the official churchofjesuschrist.org website, under “Gospel Classics”, but can a such a thing be found in the Gospel Library app as well?

It is in Gospel Library but it is tricky to find. The statement from the First Presidency and the Council of the Twelve Apostles was originally published in 1916 as President Oaks mentioned in his conference talk. The Improvement Era is not available in Gospel Library, but the statement was published again in the April 2002 Ensign, and you may read it there.
