Changing Donation Envelopes with New Bishop's Info
We just had a new Bishop called, and wanted to know how I can order updated donation envelopes. Is this something that is sent to us automatically similar to checks?

You will need to order them through the Store, after their computers receive word from headquarters of the setting apart of the new bishop.

Correct. It can take a while for the "store" to receive the new bishop's information. So I just printed a bunch of Avery labels with the new bishop's name and address, and stuck them to the old envelopes until the new ones are delivered.lajackson wrote:You will need to order them through the Store, after their computers receive word from headquarters of the setting apart of the new bishop.

And don't forget to print a new signature card, get it signed, and upload it to LCR.armando8ag wrote:We just had a new Bishop called, and wanted to know how I can order updated donation envelopes. Is this something that is sent to us automatically similar to checks?

Re: Changing Donation Envelopes with New Bishop's Info
In a prior life, we were advised to not add address labels to the tithing envelopes. Too easy for someone to sneak changes to an monitored stack of envelopes in the foyer to redirect the donations improperly. I understand that sometimes a few have to be done for circumstances and that may not be the direction now, but be cautious...drepouille wrote:Correct. Sounds good. If the old bishop's info offends anyone, they can just cross it out and call it good.

They can always donate online if they don't like the envelopes.
