Will new joiners to a circle see pre-existing posts?

Will new joiners to a circle see pre-existing posts?
For example, I post something on the circle at 1pm and Bob joins the circle at 2pm the same day. Will my 1pm post be visible to Bob?

Yes, when our daughter joined she could see the posts my wife and I had made the previous day
