Member Tools missing lots of contacts after sync
On a members phone (Galaxy S9), Member tools has been working well until the last time it synched. Now they only have random parts of wards listed. Maybe 1/3 or less. They show up all through the alphabet, often just one name under a letter. We have tried resynching, uninstalling and reinstalling, rebooting, etc. Works fine on the normal online browser site. Thoughts?

What you describe would be normal if a member who used to be on the Ward Council was released and you're in a country with strict privacy rights.
Those countries require members to op-in to the directory.

This is a US member in Utah, who can login on the website and see all members, but only gets a few from each ward showing up in the app. No calling changes in the past while, and things were working just a month ago. Appears to be an app sync issue.

Someone else has reported the same issue, suggesting it's a problem on the server side.
That's rather unusual as usually it's either all or nothing as far as any category of information goes. I wasn't aware in in ward/out of ward being handled as a separate service.
You can report it via the app, but all you can do is be patient and sync at times when the server is unlikely to be busy.

Please report it using in-app feedback. That should give them the information they need to start working back through the chain to see if something isn't working.

Thank you. It is weird in that it is only getting 20-30% of the membership lists across all wards in the stake. I will have them submit a ticket through the app.

It's normal to not see children, and maybe youth in other wards, but only 20-30% is excessive for a country using opt-out.

I've confirmed this issue with several Android users in our stake. In addition, I have tested it on my previous Android phone with an older version of the app and it populates everything correctly.
It's being talked about online, so I know it's not just our stake, and the fact that it's affecting new updates tells me it's something with the newest version of the app.
I talked to one member who had everything populated correctly, but hadn't updated for several weeks. As soon as he updated, it stopped showing everything. Some wards have a few members, some none at all. Some positions are there and others not.

I just updated to the newest version available in the play store (ver. 4.0.4-(101387.5) and then synced the data. I'm on Android 9.
It appears all members are visible in all wards in my stake. Stake date appears to be properly populated. I am in the US (Oklahoma).

This is fixed in version 4.0.4, which is in beta. It looks like davesudweeks has it. It will roll out generally shortly.
