Hi:
I'm new to my calling of sending out weekly newsletters for our ward. The previous emails have all been simple text emails with no images.
This week, I tried to include a small jpg within the body of the newsletter. While it showed up when I pasted it into the "Send a Message" main body, it
was not in the final email that was received by members.
I see that I can attach files to the bottom, but is there any way to place an image within the body of the email?
Hopefully, I'm not missing something obvious--but I don't see any sort of image/picture icon on the formatting bar.
Thanks.

Re: Image within the body of a "Send a Message" email
In other threads related to the Send A Message tool, it has been reported that this tool was never designed to be a full-featured email program. It has only basic formatting capabilities. Others have reported that it doesn't accept pasted formats well either. Most have found it best to paste from a text editor that doesn't include extra formatting codes and then use the limited formatting capability within the app to apply the formats it can handle.
Your best bet to request improvements to the tool is to provide feedback from that page or request your Stake President to bring it up in the coordinating council he participates in. Posts here in this user-to-user mutual help forum will likely never make it to those who direct the programmer's priorities.
