Class And Quorum Attendance

#1

Post by drepouille »

I see a new item on the Reports menu of LCR: Class And Quorum Attendance.

Are we now supposed to track attendance by name, rather than by number?
I wonder how we are supposed to count those who spend the entire second hour in the foyer or hallway? And online?

I suspect there will be some guidance to be released soon.

This could get interesting. While we have in-person sacrament meeting (that is webcast) we have completely virtual Sunday School/EQ/RS meetings. I think it's because our meeting rooms are too small for social distancing and there's another wards in our building.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

If you have a Foyer Class or a Hallway Class, I would count them. I would also count those who participate in an online class such as elders quorum.

I once announced to a crowded foyer during Sunday School that the Foyer Class would begin in three minutes. The foyer was empty two minutes later. (And no, very few went to class.)

What would be really cool would be if quorum and class secretaries could record attendance weekly and then have that data automatically flow through to the quarterly report. ;)

That would be lovely. However, in my experience, most secretaries can't (or refuse to) login to LCR. They would probably prefer to mark attendance using the Member Tools app.

Being able to do that from Member Tools would be another really cool feature.

I recorded some attendance information today, but the names print a week off from the dates they are actually recorded. I suppose this would be a Beta-7 feature. [smile]

Well I am glad that as of today, I have nothing to do with quarterly reports. Hooray!

The latest Beta version of iOS Member Tools has this option. And it works!
