How can a Non-Member/Investigator make an online donation?

Post by MartinJuulSorensen »

We have an investigator that wishes to make a donation to the church. We're in lockdown and church is virtual. Donation would need to be online. I can't seem to find any information anywhere. I've reached out to the stake clerk and waiting for a response. Thought I'd give this forum a try.

Non-members can donate. They simply need a Church Account.

However, until they're baptized and add the MRN to their account, their donations will not be visible to the ward. Likewise, any donations they make in-person to the ward will not show up in their on-line account until they add the MRN.

Also, as a non-member, they will not have access to the Directory or Calendar.

I assume that the same would be true for non-members making a contribution to a missionary's mission fund. We (the unit) would not see their contributions, but would we be able to see the deposits in the missionary's fund, although not perhaps the donor's name? Would their contributions show up at the end of the year when we run tax statements?
Thanks.
