A newly baptized member is married to a member and got married before the baptism, a fact reflected on the spouse's record under the family tab. When I created the record, I used the button "Create Membership Record for Spouse" to create the new record. However, under the Family tab of the spouse's record, the new member is still listed as a non-member.
You'll need to contact the Global Service Department and have them correct the link. There isn't anything a clerk can do without recording an incorrect event. You might mention that you used the spouse membership option. They may want to pass it on to developers to investigate if something went wrong.

This is a known bug I believe, as we had to have the GSD fix this for a convert spouse baptism last year. In our part of the known world, the mission office is still creating memberships for converts, by the way. Your mileage may vary.
