Hello--
I have an access/permission question regarding the new Sunday attendance reporting that we just received a letter from Church HQ on.
We are wondering who in the various organizations will/should have access to LCR in order to enter in their meeting attendance?
I did a quick search and didn't see this in previous posts. Sorry if I missed it.

All presidency members, to include secretaries, who have been entered into the system with the standard callings should have access.

Thank you. Access to LCR is granted based on calling. Once logged onto LCR the available tools and options is automatically tailored to the calling. Class and Quorum Attendance is accessed in the Reports menu item. If an organization presidency member or secretary does not have access to LCR to enter the attendance then there is an issue with either the calling that was entered for them or with their Church Account.razor7 wrote:Thank you. Unfortunately none of the youth advisors, specialists, or even class/quorum presidencies seem to have access. Is this a case where the announcement is ahead of the technology or will that limitation remain in place?

According to the access table, youth advisors and youth specialists don't have access to this report. Class/quorum presidencies are not listed on the access table. I am a ward clerk and one of my sons is the priests quorum secretary. I have confirmed that he does not have access, even after logging out and logging back in. He does not have the "Reports" section and instead has "Lists". His device is a current Android version and I tried both the Beta and Production channels. I have sent in-app feedback; unsure if this is by design at this point or an issue with the version installed. If the youth advisors don't have access and youth presidencies/secretaries don't have access, it will be challenging to record attendance.

This is just typical follow the handbook to the letter even if an 11 year old is expected to navigate church websites like a pro, Bishops and Bishoprics, Stake Presidencies have never been told how this all works and everyone just assumes when things roll out that the relevant callings will have access. I have tried to work with Bishoprics over the years to understand this but they have access to everything, they have no idea how the 'role-based' access works or that it's even a thing. In our DQ meeting, Sunday our Bishopric member demonstrated this to all the DQ Presidency and advisers, and action plan was created, the DQP was asked to use his keys to make an assignment, and afterwords I had to inform the Bishopric member that it didn't work the way he thought.michaelgraham wrote:Unfortunately none of the youth advisors, specialists, or even class/quorum presidencies seem to have access. So our DQ will be using paper, and our member of the Bishopric, the only person with the access is now tasked with another administrative item he shouldn't need to perform. He could be giving meaningful service, but instead he has to log into a website to transfer stuff from paper to the computer, only after someone has taken the time to either stop by the Deacon's home and pick that paper up, or have them drop it off or, digitize it and send it over. Does this seem trivial? Sure, it does, but over the years this is exactly how things go, over and over a limited release, then eventually after months of 'how does this make sense' going on, the access is expanded....... And as proof, they just expanded access only so that Youth Specialists NOW, only NOW have the same access that the Advisers did when the youth program rolled out.
I'm only saying this because here are the facts. Bishoprics, if they ever do find out that the rational thing wasn't originally rolled out will find workarounds, once the access finally catches up, nobody cares because the workaround is already in place. The only thing this causes in the church is animosity, thinking that the church doesn't know what it's doing. Your average member doesn't understand 'least privilege access' They don't understand that in Europe there are differences in how online information access is handled, they just think it's dumb that youth presidencies don't have access to the online tool developed for them to keep track of attendance, and if that isn't enough, the advisers that are assigned to be their subject matter experts don't have access either.
But hey, we weren't as a church general overall vision, finding ways to free up Bishopric members's time, right? I mean, the Bishop should be taking attendance for the Priests quorum right? Makes sense that he's the only one in that Quorum that can do it?

As the ward Sunday School secretary when I am reporting the attendance for the Gospel Doctrine class and it starts with Adair and I check yes and go down the list, each time I check a person on the list, it goes back to Adair and I have to scan down the list to the next person. Why won't it just stay with each name as I go down the list?
