I have been testing the familysearch API and it seems fairly simple to extract data from my tree in an XML format (GEDCOMX). I would like to see this as a way to extract parts of the data from my tree and use that to populate my trees in Ancestry.com and other similar sites. Is this going to be a possibility in the future. Is the Church working with the these other sites to have this (GEDCOMX) XML format importable.
This seems to make sense to me as the whole world of IT on cloud has already gone API based communication?
Thanks

Re: FamilySearch API GEDCOMX
I think your best bet would be to contact Ancestry.com or other sites directly, sending feedback requesting the ability to import GEDCOMX. I doubt the Church or FamilySearch would be involved in product planning for Ancestry or other third-party genealogy sites, unless there are a lot of users requesting integration. Once GEDCOMX is exported from FamilySearch, it's up to the other site to be able to import it.
