Unofficial guide for YouTube Live - Part 4: Testing the Uplink

Post by Mikerowaved »

Part 4 focuses on testing. Keep in mind, the Auto-start and Auto-stop are active, so if we use the existing URL and Stream Key to upload a test stream, whenever it stops, the YTL event will end and automatically change to Unlisted. This is perfectly fine if you wish to test from end-to-end. Just remember to go back and recreate the event, as outlined in Part 3.

What if you just wanted to see if your encoder was setup correctly? Follow along and Part 4 will dive into that, allowing you to test as long and often as you wish, without the need to recreate the event.
