There is a child in our ward that doesn't show up on the nursery roles. He is on our ward list and has a membership number but doesn't list a blessing date. I clicked the option to print a blessing certificate and LCR tells me that a record needs to be created.
How is it possible for him to have a membership number without having a had a record created? At what point is the membership number generated?

Re: record/record number
That sounds like he was listed as a child on the parents records but not created as a child of record.

Re: record/record number
What Ward list are you referring to? It's not uncommon for a child to be added to the parents record, but it won't show up anywhere else.

Re: record/record number
The member list in LCR, I'm able to view his profile and he has a membership number but not on any primary class list.
I didn't realize that they were assigned a membership record if they are just added to a household

Re: record/record number
An identifying number similar to a Membership Record Number is a part of every name in the system. It sounds as if an actual membership record was never created. (jonesrk will be able to let you know.)wrigjef wrote: I didn't realize that they were assigned a membership record if they are just added to a household
The current age and status of the child and parents will determine if a record can be created at this point.

Are the parents divorced? I'm wondering if you have an out of unit record.

Re: record/record number
That's what I'd think, but I thought there might be an exception. Or maybe three birthdate is wrong. Perhaps a mix-up between legal and preferred name is causing confusion.
After that, I'm out of ideas.

Re: record/record number
He has a membership record. The message on the print blessing certificate page showed up for me before I even put in the member's information. I think that is just a general message. The other thing I noticed for this individual is that there isn't a consent form uploaded. That might play into things. You can upload that from his member profile page. I was able to get to his member profile page either from the ward list or his parents household page.wrigjef wrote: Sun Feb 13, 2022 11:00 am There is a child in our ward that doesn't show up on the nursery roles. As far as not being on the nursery role, he's not in the nursery. If you add him as a member to the nursery he will show up on the role.
