Stake Boundary Changes - Who can draw changes?

#1

Post by wernervg »

HI there,

The Stake President has asked to Stake Clerk (me) to assist with drawing stake boundary changes in an existing Stake boundary proposal.

Unfortunately there is no mapping tools available that we go into the proposal, we are used to seeing tools for example when we need to make ward boundary changes.

Please advise which callings would normally have rights to make boundary changes in stake boundary proposals?

Thank you

According to the Access Table at LCR, the stake president, his counselors, you (the stake clerk), the assistant stake clerk, the assistant stake clerk for membership, and the stake executive secretary and assistant should have access to the boundary proposal area of LCR.

Stakes are a collection of wards and branches. As such, they don't have a boundary per se.

If this proposal involves neighboring stakes, I'd think you'd need access to the neighboring stakes' data - which probably is going to require someone with higher than stake-level access. So, unless you're doing a stake split, I have my doubts that you can do much.

You might contact support to get see what they say.

For stake proposals there is one stake that is the sponsor. That is the only stake that can edit the proposal maps.
Stake clerk should be able to do it. I was able to do it was I was an Assistant Stake Clerk for the proposal that we started.
