The government has denied my documents for a legal name change, what do I do?

I added my middle name in court in Dec of 2021 and just recently got my documents rejected from the notary because of a poorly written "2" on the paper. This will put me back months from when I wanted to serve a mission as I will not have to reschedule all my appointments to get my identity in order and receive my passport (a process that already takes months to do). My missionary papers are all filled out except for my passport and identification. What do I do? What steps can I take to serve a mission on time?
