A member in our ward has a child on a mission and would like to make the payments for the mission via donor advised fund donation to the central office of the President. Is it possible to make missionary payments this way, or do these payments need to be made in the ward the missionary account is held? My worry is that a payment is made to the central office, but a balance is still being show locally in the ward's account for that specific missionary. Has anyone encountered this question, or does anyone know if payments to the central office of the President can be made for a specific missionary, and it reflects in the ward?
I'd suggest using the "contact us" phone number on the philanthropies page to see if they can do that.
