Force catalog update?

Post by GrasseDD »

Is there a way to force GL to update the available library?
Occasionally, there are books, documents, broadcasts added to the Gospel Library online that are not available in my app. (Maybe those materials haven't been added to the mobile app(s) yet?)

The app should check for new content periodically, but I believe you can force it to check by swiping down from the top (in both android and iOS versions). I don't use the windows version so am not sure on that action. If you don't have a touch-screen, you might check the settings.

Gospel Library Online and the iOS, Android, and Windows Gospel Library apps share the same content source, but the content is only packaged for mobile once every few days, so it may be a few days behind. If content has been online more than a week, but still isn't showing up in the app, then there may be an issue with the app.

Another possibility is that there may be role-based content (like missionary training videos) that you need to be signed in to see, but you're not signed in in the app.

Maybe someone who's more familiar with Windows Gospel Library can share if there's a way to force a content update check like you can in the iOS and Android apps.
