Access to Android account

Post by angiejanes »

My husband is transitioning from an iPhone to an android. The gospel library app asks for username and password, but then says, you need to try a different way. There is no information that we can find about how to try a different way. He was recently called as a seminary teacher, and we are wondering if that is impacting the way he gains access. Any help would be appreciated.

Does he have multi-factor authentication turned on? If so, he may need to use a different MFA system. The mobile apps doesn't support all of them.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.

Specifically, the option currently called "Biometric Authenticators" is the one that doesn't work with the mobile apps. You can check which two-step verification options are turned on for his account by signing in to Account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org.
