An adopted child who was sealed to his parents several years go. When looking at this records, I noted that the sealing was not recorded. I contacted the Global Services department. They told me to go to the child's record and click on "+ Add Sealing to Parents" on the lower-right of the page. I entered the sealing information when prompted. Global Services said the temple department would review it and correct the record.
LCR gives no feedback whatsoever when I put in the sealing information, so it looks like nothing happened. I would think that LCR should at least show the ordinance and indicate that it's pending approval by the temple department, but it shows nothing. From a user perspective, it looks like LCR is broken. It's been over two weeks since I submitted the ordinance through LCR. How do I figure out if LCR is broken and nothing is happening, or if it's in a queue with the temple department to get corrected (and how long does the temple department usually take to make such corrections)?

Re: Child Sealing to Parents Missing
I'd also be interested to know if it's just an LCR issue, or if there's a deeper issue in the Church's records. Perhaps the Church (at least at the time) has separate systems to record temple sealings and then to get them into the public (LCR) database. My concern would be if this is just a one-time thing where LCR doesn't show something that is actually recorded in an internal Church system, or if there's potentially cases where it's truly not recorded anywhere. In that scenario, it won't get resolved unless a careful clerk (or member reviewing their info) notices.

Re: Child Sealing to Parents Missing
I'd look at the records and make sure the child is correctly linked to the parents and not just in the same household.
I'd also check with GSD to make sure there isn't a duplicate record for the child.
