It's unclear what can and cannot be done already.
Stake youth leaders need a way to inform and remind all youth of upcoming activities.
This really ought to be a feed-like experience and not chat which can drown the announcement out with even a few questions or comments.
In fact I would bet your analytics support my assumption the the only traffic on the "discover" page is to because it opens by default.
The opening page really needs to be a feed of upcoming events and recent posts from leaders would help the experience quite bit.
It doesn't seem like the Stake can form circles for transient things or for bespoke committees, etc. The alternative is social media which doesn't hardly fix the main issues here: automatic enrollment. The one thing that the Living app purports to do.

Re: Stake Youth Activities
That sounds like a good job for the stake calendar.
If there's a youth calendar at the stake level, then activities can be placed there. It will then show up in Member Tools and if the user desires, can be synced to their personal calendar.

That's not a bad idea. My main issue is why can't we have it all ways? These shouldn't really be separate entities. And if they are, they should be seamlessly woven together.
And it's not just about having a calendar. It's about the ability of the Stake leaders to drive interest in the activity by making posts and updates, and the youth (and parents) getting push notification or see the feed when those posts are made. It's about driving engagement.
Otherwise I would tell them to just publish a public calendar via Google or Apple.
And I don't know about you, but how many youth use member tools? Do you have analytics to show what percentage of active youth use one feature or app over another?

I have no information about that. But I do know that usage will be dependent on how the leaders use it. If the calendars are set up properly and used consistently then it's more likely that members will use them. But if the calendars have events placed on any old calendar such that the members get too much "noise" (events that don't apply to them) they won't use it.

It seems you might be hoping that your post will connect you with the Church development team, who would have answers to the types of questions you raise. Unfortunately, most everyone here in the Forum is a 'normal' church member like yourself, some with lots of user experience or who have good guesswork, but they're not connected to any Church decision-making process. On rare occasions a Church employee might comment on a Forum post, but for the most part we have no specific insight into what data the Church actually is tracking, or what factors they consider when prioritizing functionality. Your best option is to submit Feedback using either the Feedback button available on most Church webpages, or in any of the Church apps you're using.Do you have analytics to show what percentage of active youth use one feature or app over another?
