Won't highlight on Surface Pro

Won't highlight on Surface Pro
I cannot highlight on my Surface Pro for some reason. I can select text, open the annotation menu, and click on the highlight, but it doesn't apply the highlight. I've tried so many things. And it's not that the highlight is really there and I just can't see it. It's not there to delete either. So it's not applying the highlight. So frustrating. I renders this app completely useless and I'm going to end up just going back to the app on my phone. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
So a few questions to try to trouble shoot this further. Are you running Windows 10 or Windows 11 on your Surface Pro? Do you know which Surface Pro version that you have? (The most current version is version 9) Also, what version of the Gospel Library for Windows are you currently running? Knowing this information can help to troubleshoot this further.
