LDS Member Tools can't log on

LDS Member Tools can't log on
I deleted the member tools app on my iPhone. Reinstalled it. I have actually done this several times.
I put in my username and password. It comes up "Welcome to Member Tools" and then asks me to sync. I sync. It loads. The screen then goes blank for a time. After about a minute the log in for my username comes up again.
I have gone through this for about a week. Very frustrating.

I'm having the exact same problem. And yes, I've deleted, restarted, reinstalled, etc. All the things. Still says "success!" after syncing then goes to a black screen, then back to the login prompt.

One idea might be to have somebody else (clerk?) sit next to you and try the following options. Can the clerk enter his info into your phone's Member Tools login and successfully get to his account? Or can you enter your info into the clerk's phone successfully? Just trying to get a better idea if it's something specific to your phone ("nobody can log into their account using Tools on my phone"), or specific to your church account ("I can't log into Tools on any phone").

I have the same problem.
One event of significance. As part of a stake organization we were moved into a different ward. I tried to sync a few days after this action.
Things I’ve tried:
-uninstalled/reinstalled
- asked for username
- asked for password
- unchecked all “Decide what data is downloaded” (I’ve tried various versions of checking things)
- said “downloading”
- said “success” which disappeared after a few seconds
- screen changed to all white
- (usually at this point it’s just stuck, but sometimes it starts the loop over again with username)
-I tried using my wife’s username/password — same result
-I had her delete the app/reinstall she now has the same problem
Logging in on browser is fine
Logging into Familysearch and Gospel library is fine.

I don't think either of those require membership records to be in a ward. What about the "Ward Directory and Map' or "Calendar"?
In your case, I have to wonder if your records are not in a ward, (or perhaps a new ward that hasn't completed being created).
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

I don’t see anything on the IOS apps (total blank screen). The web version is totally fine (correct new ward, everything shows correctly). The problem is definitely IOS which a delete/reinstall does not resolve.

Did you try uninstall/reboot/reinstall?

This issue seems to be fixed with version 5.0. Make sure you delete the app first then download from app store.
