Tech Specialist

Hey, I have been trying to use my lcr for my tech specialist calling! In the general handbook i need access to it to be able to reach certain people and fulfill certain things! Would i need to have my ward clerk make a custom calling or edit my calling?

Custom callings give no rights beyond a regular member. First, check with your clerk to make sure you are in a standard calling and not a custom calling. Also, it is normally recommended to wait at least 24 hrs after the standard calling is recorded in LCR to give time for permissions to flow through the systems. If you were just called yesterday (Sunday) and are in a standard calling, your permissions may not have been fully activated yet (assuming the clerk recorded the calling yesterday - that often doesn't happen that quickly).

Ward and Stake Technology Specialists do not have access to LCR.

There's nothing the clerk can do about it unless an additional calling is extended that does have access.

I've not found LCR necessary to carry out STS responsibilities. But I live in the US where the default privacy for everyone is "Stake". That might be a little different in places like the UK where the default privacy is "leadership only".

Ok, Thanks! It was done yesterday, it just doesn't show up in the churchofjesuschrist.org home. Thanks for the info!

If you're looking for a ward directory, there's a "Ward Directory and Map" tool that's available to all ward members. You can also use the Member Tools app.
