Fast Offering Credit Card

#1

Post by garyabbott »

Has anyone heard of or is aware of something called a "Fast Offering credit card"? I recently came across some training material put together by someone (not-church related) for clerks and within their presentation mentioned this fast-offering credit card. Curious if anyone know what it is, a pilot program somewhere, or otherwise. Thank you.

What country was the write-up for? In some European countries, checks are no longer in use.

That might make sense. The training material was put together by someone in Australia. That must be it. Thank you.

Yes.
In Australia (not sure if it all stakes or just some), wards get a fast offering card that is intended to be used to pay for fast offering needs. It's assigned to one person (generally the bishop) and means that you don't have to worry about filling in reimbursement forms.
The clerk can see the details of in it LCR so it still has the eyes over it to make sure that dodgy stuff isn't happening.
