She's probably missing the MRN on her account. The MRN identifies her as a member and what ward she belongs to.joleenjordan wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 7:33 pm We have a new 83 year old member who I was able to sign her up for a church account, get gospel library on her phone and family search on her phone but I am not able to log her into lds tools. Church Accounts, Gospel Library and FamilySearch are all available to non-members so they don't require an MRN. But Member Tools does.

Church apps quit support for older versions of Android. I am not sure what the cutoff is. It has something to do with security. You can still download the apps and run them but then you will not allow you to log in. This was the problem I was having with my Android Tablet when I started this post. I had to get a new Tablet finally to end the problem.

I think they're asking about Member Tools, but tagged onto a thread in Gospel Library. (As a result, I've split and moved the thread.)
According to the FAQ, Member tools needs to be at 4.8 and requires Android 8.0 or newer.
However, my phone is running Tools 5.0.3, so the FAQ might be a bit out of date.

Seconding this. If she's a new member, she may have created a Church Account before her membership record was created. She can check if her Church Account has her membership record attached by going to Account.ChurchofJesusChrist.org and scrolling to the "Membership Record Number (MRN)" field. If it's not filled in, she can get the number from a clerk or bishopric member.russellhltn wrote: ↑Wed Aug 07, 2024 8:09 pmShe's probably missing the MRN on her account. After the membership record number is added to the Church Account, she should be able to access ward information (Member Tools app and equivalent tools on the Church website).
The Android version is also worth checking, but usually if an app isn't supported because of the Android version, Google Play won't even allow the app to be downloaded to the device.
