I'm the Young Man's leader in a small Branch in Louisiana. We call it "Young Man's" instead of "Young Men's" because there is only one young man in our Branch.
There are two Wards within a 30-minute drive from our meetinghouse, both with several active YM and YW. These Wards have welcomed us to join them for weeknight YM or combined YM/YW activities on many occasions. The Bishop in one of the Wards has started using the Gospel Living app and wants to share their calendar with me. So far we have not been able to find a way to do this.
Ideally, it would solve a lot of issues for us if Unit leaders could set visibility levels for their Circles and Activities to be per Organization or Unit or Stake. We have many small Branches in our Stake, and while our Branch's YW is double the size of our YM (2!) I know they would make good use of such a feature.
Any suggestions or work-arounds are greatly appreciated!
Thanks,
Ken

Short of having that ward add the two of you as out-of-unit members (and giving you a calling in the YM), I don't think sharing of GL can be done at this time.
There's a number of features that were promised shortly after GL was released that still hasn't come to pass.

Re: How to add out-of-unit members to YM Circle and Activities?
Hi Russell,
Thanks for the quick reply. I'm not sure what you mean "add the two of you as out-of-unit members..." Are you saying we would need to be added to the membership records for that Ward? (If so, wouldn't that result in a move-out from our Branch?) Or is there some way to have our membership concurrent in both our Branch and the other Ward (and possible two other Wards)?
Thanks,
Ken

See General Handbook, 33.6.5, and the Help Center article Out-of-Unit Members and Callings for information about the purpose and use of out-of-unit member records.ken42 wrote: ↑Thu Sep 05, 2024 8:53 am I'm not sure what you mean "add the two of you as out-of-unit members..." I will give that a try - thanks!
