Correcting a Deceased Members name

My mother's name is wrong on her membership record. She is deceased. How do I correct the name?

Her name is Charlotte Ann Jensen. Her record number is [removed]. The record only shows Charlotte Jensen.

Once a member's death is recorded the membership data is transferred to the Church FamilySearch genealogy database. Your mother's death appears to have been recorded (a search on her record number turned up no record) and so it is no longer availble for edit in the Church membership database. To make an edit to her genealogy information should be done through the FamilySearch website.

Please just delete my mother's name.

My mother's name is correct in Family Search but not in the membership number.

Nobody here can do anything to solve the problem you're reporting. This is a user-to-user discussion forum.

If the suggestions between your posts don't help, please talk with your bishop or branch president or ward or branch clerk. One of them can give you a number for the General Services Department, who might be able to help.
