Searching suggestion

Post by beverlyannburr »

where ever I search the scriptures or other places in the Church system it would be nice to have a speller with the system. Also it would be nice to a search engine that finds scriptures I'm looking for even if I haven't made an exact quote to the referance. Kind of like google does.

It's been a long time since you posted your comment. I see it's your first post. Welcome to the forums. I'm sorry that no one has commented on this.

This is a user-to-user forum. Church employees sometimes visit. Suggestions need to be submitted to the Feedback link, which is found at the bottom of most pages. Those submissions are sent to decision makers. It doesn't mean your suggestion will be implemented, but at least someone will read it. Be aware that someone might respond to your suggestion telling you to clear your cache and cookies, as that's almost an automatic response to many submissions. If you get such a response, you may need to reply that you're submitting a suggestion.

Personally, I usually use Google to search the church website, as its results are better than the church's search. Last time I compared the results, Google was doing a better job on finding things I wanted on the church website than Duck Duck Go or Bing, so I've kept using Google. When searching, just type what you're looking for, followed by site:ChurchOfJesusChrist.org and Google will limit its search to the church website. If you click on any result for more information, be aware that you may see other suggestions, which aren't necessarily on the church website, and may include results of those in disagreement with the church.
