Gospel library at home vs at church

Post by erwing2929 »

When I am at home on gospel library I can play children videos and stories on my iPad but when I’m at church trying to give a lesson it all goes text to speech? I’m on their internet sit and have limited cell data use is turned off.

I understand meetinghouse networks block a lot of external non-Church sites. If the content in question is physically hosted by a cloud provider that is normally blocked, it might be possible that could account for the difference in content availability. Can you give an example of a particular URL?

If your iPad has the ability to play content from an SD card or other local storage, one solution might be to download the content at home to the local storage and then play it at the meetinghouse from said local storage. Is that feasible?

When you connected to the WiFi, were you presented with a terms of use page and had to click "I Agree" to use it? If not, then you're probably not really connected to the internet, although some church sites might still be accessible.

Getting the Terms of Service splash screen to come up can be tricky. So far, the best method I've found is to try and go to a website that I haven't visited in a week.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.
