The instructions say that Chromebooks ordered through the EMarket from CDW will come already enrolled. I have received eight of them from CDW that are not enrolled.
The obvious next step is for me to enroll them myself (sigh), and I have the instructions to do that. Those instructions work until I receive the Enrollment Error message that says "You do not have enough upgrades to enroll this device."
And of course, since it is usually Sunday when I need the GSD, my Technology Specialist day has just been truncated.
Don't you just love it when things work the way they say they will? Oh, wait. That was a problem in 2004, 20 years ago. Things must certainly have changed for the better since then, eh?

Re: Enrolling a New Chromebook
The GSC has escalated the problem. The developers said this is is a new error that has been appearing. If I do not hear back from them in three days I should call and inquire.
Gotta love technology.

Re: Enrolling a New Chromebook
I had a similar problem setting up Chrome OS on FSC computers. Apparently there was a limit as to how many could be done on a single email address, so they had to come up with more emails.

Did they give you the email to use? The current instructions are to use your Church Account ID with @Church ... org. This seems to be a case of a problem with the overall Church account not being recognized.

For installing Chrome Flex OS on existing computers in the FSC, yes. Apparently it's a different process.

Oh yes, that would be different. Those are regular computers. These are Chromebook laptops.

Re: Enrolling a New Chromebook
Global Services referred the issue to the field team, who have advised that they ran out of available licenses. They hope to have the problem fixed soon. They thanked me for my patience.

Re: Enrolling a New Chromebook
I learned over the weekend that licenses are once again available for Chromebooks, and that the Chromebooks from CDW automatically enroll themselves as the instructions say they should.
The trick is that the Chromebook does not get the license until you first turn it on and connect it to the network. It is not actually enrolled by CDW. They just have something set up in the Chromebook that causes it to enroll automatically when you turn it on and connect it for the first time.
It did not work for me earlier because licenses were not available. But now they are. All is well.
