We had a new baby blessed in our ward. When I created the record I mistakenly chose BIC, I didn't realize the child was adopted. I went under ordinances and saw the options were BIC, sealed, and not sealed. But when creating a record they are BIC/not BIC, and if not BIC, adopted or not. I chose not sealed and the BIC record disappeared. Is that all I need to do? Why are the options different and why is there no adoption option now? Do I need to have the record deleted and recreated?
Also, there is no option to record the blessing?

Re: Change born in the covenant status
Changing it to not sealed is correct (unless of course the are sealed).
No you can't record the blessing. The time of blessing can be one of the reminders to create the record, but if the record is already created then nothing needs to be recorded for the blessing.

The blessing does not get recorded in the membership record. However, a certificate should be printed.
