Audio for blind?

Wondering if you could create a voice activated(microphone) audio content-scriptures, music, general conference, curriculum- for blind/visually impared centric separate app for Google play?

My 81 year old father is blind in one eye, 40% vision in other eye- which is deteriating.

He has a smartphone. That is currently his only outlet for media & contact with family.

If there was such an app, perhaps I could train him to use.

Only other option is get him a voice activated remote & player for ROKU & add Gospel Stream.

Unfortunately, The Church no longer makes audio CDs of printed materials.

Let me understand what you mean, you wish

Do you want to listen to documents - why do you want a voice activated Mic ? to do what

Do you want Closed Captions - or convert text to audio ?

Voice actived search/play feature for audio content for blind. ( They obviously cannot "see" a screen - phone or ROKU - to select/play content) ROKU has voice activated remote. Smartphones have a microphone feature.

Unfortunately, The Church no longer makes audio CDs of printed materials.

If audio CDs would solve part of the need, it is possible to burn CD+/-R. My wife insists on audio CDs each General Conference. It takes a little effort to do one track per talk with the introduction (speaker's name and calling) attached to the beginning of the track. Cutting a whole session MP3 in half and burning a CD from each half would take much less effort.
