Can't create an account for a new member

Church Account is the primary user account (user name and password) for accessing online Church resources. Church Account was formerly known as LDS Account. Can't create an account for a new member

I am trying to create an account for a new member who is older. When I hit the create account button it doesn't go to the email verification screen it just keeps going back to the member search screen where you put the birthday in.

It looks like you either need a valid MRN, or check the box to say they're not a member.

How new are they? It's possible the MRN hasn't rippled though all the servers yet. It may take 24-48 hours for some things to update.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

He was baptized one week ago. I'm an assistant clerk and I got his number straight from his profile in the directory.

Is there any possibility the record might be in pending new record status?

If so, IIUC, the ward clerk would need to finalize the record.

I'd also make sure the birth date matches what's on their membership record. It may not like it if MRN and Birth Date doesn't line up.
