Moving Records

Post by moraesl »

I'm trying to transfer a member's record to our ward; I'm receiving a message that the transfer was successful, but the member's records never arrive.

Have you tried more than once to move the record in? If so, what happened after you clicked the 'Lookup' button on the second attempt? If the record had actually been moved in on the first try and then another attempt is made a message stating "The requested individual is already in the [ward name] Ward" would be displayed after the 'Lookup' button is clicked. If the record had not actually been moved into the ward, then the member name, with their gender and age, would be displayed. In this case make sure the check box in front of their name is checked before clicking the 'Continue' button.

If you get the message "The requested individual is already in the [ward name] Ward" and the record does not show in the LCR Member Directory then a call to the Global Services Department is warranted.

You might want to try using Incognito mode in your browser. Cookie buildup does strange things to church websites.
Have you searched the Help Center? Try doing a Google search and adding "site:churchofjesuschrist.org/help" to the search criteria.

So we can better help you, please edit your Profile to include your general location.
