Quarterly budget allocation - are corrections possible

Post by Clint.Field »

Hello all,

I'm hoping this topic hasn't already been raised, I searched but didn't find anything. After receiving our quarterly budget allocation from CHQ (ward level), we realized that it seemed low relative to the past several quarters. Knowing that the quarterly allocation is driven by attendance reports, we looked more closely and found that there had been some reporting errors.... in short, some of our attendance data went in as zeroes when we actually had attendees. We are still trying to sort out how the zeroes were submitted as we had attendance data. We did do an edit for that report and got the correct numbers resubmitted but that occurred AFTER the quarterly allocation from CHQ had been dispensed and received. What we are wondering is if the edited report will have any impact and if there is any chance that the amount of a quarterly budget allocation can be modified or changed (increased) after the fact?

There is a deadline in which corrections to the quarterly report are too late to be used to calculate the unit allowance. If I remember correctly that deadline is two weeks after the due date. If the attendance resulted in a significantly lower than expected amount you can contact the GSD for assistance. Years ago this happened to another unit in our stake and the stake president got involved. I don't know if that situation resulted in additional unit allowance funds being disbursed or not.
