Ports used for Gospel Living and Circles are blocked by my Firewall

Post by drjkeck »

With my router firewall turned ON, and my phone connected through the router, I get notifications of new Circles messages, but they will not load.

If I turn OFF my phone network access and go only through the cell carrier, then it works great.

Are there specific ports I need to open in the Firewall to allow Gospel Living and Circles to work?

Thanks.

Most Church apps, including Gospel Living (by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints), primarily use HTTPS over port 443. Ensure ports 80 and 443 are open, and allow outbound connections to Firebase services (ports 5228–5230), which handle notifications and messaging.
