LCR New Donation and Filtering Card Transaction Bug

Post by ballonkenneth »

I don’t know who to contact.

This is just a suggestion regarding a UX/UI issue I found while serving as a Ward Clerk.

Context:
Finance Web App – lcrffe.churchofjesuschrist.org

Donations
When creating a new batch of donations and clicking the Save & Add New Donation button, a modal appears that locks the new donation for whoever initiated it. The modal currently shows only a Cancel button.

In UX terms, a Cancel button should cancel the transaction and return without saving anything. However, the current behavior is different: clicking Cancel actually continues the process of saving the donation.

It would be a more helpful UX workflow to have two buttons: OK and Cancel.

OK → proceeds to entering donations

Cancel → cancels the process

Another Bug
When checking card transactions, the filter field is automatically filled with a value. This is incorrect UX behavior. The filter should only be populated when the user explicitly enters a value, not automatically.

Hopefully some folks assigned Software Engineers at those I mentioned can resolved on their next sprint or release/live

There should be a feedback link in the footer of an LCR page. That would be the way to get the issue to the software developers.

Yeah I did that. Most often than not, it just goes through the the Global Desk Help. But hopefully, they're going to get it this time.
