Temporary Kindoo Seat not automatically removed

The Stake Kindoo Manager Instructions provided by the church state the following:

A temporary user takes up a user seat or user license as soon as the user is created until that user is removed from the Kindoo system, however, the user only has access rights during the defined date range.
- Before the temporary user activation date, the user exists on the site (because they were invited), but has no access.
- During the defined date range the user has access if the access rights or access rule allow.
- After the temporary user expiration date, the temporary user is automatically removed from the site, which frees a user seat.

I provided temporary access to member a couple of days ago. All worked well and he accessed the building with no issues. The access expired at 11:00 pm, 16Jul26. The access rights were removed (expired), but the user has not been automatically removed from the site and the seat is not available, contrary to that which is stated in the documentation.

Is Sentry responsible for revoking the seat or is this strictly a Kindoo feature? Has anyone had the same issue? I am certain I followed the procedure properly, but I am wondering if I somehow messed up, or if there is a glitch with the automatic removal process. Does anyone have an idea or info as to why the seat has not been removed?

I find it curious that 31 folks (so far) have viewed my post and none weighed in with a comment such as "that is different from what I have experienced", or "that has happen to me as well", or "that does not seem right, let us know if you find a resolution", or something.

Just crickets.

I reached out to Kindoo support late last night for clarification as to how a temporary seat was to be removed from the user list. I received a reply at 6:41 this morning. Very impressive to receive a response so quickly. This is their reply ...

"Thank you very much for bringing this to our attention.
An issue occurred where, in a particular case, the system revoked the access rights of temporary users without removing them from the site to free up the seat. Your understanding of the system is absolutely correct, and the error was on our end. This has now been resolved and an update has been published."

I'm not as surprised. Since it's an at-will participation Forum, there's no way to know who exactly might be participating at any given time. Perhaps those who viewed the post don't Interact with Kindoo for their callings (like myself), and those that do have Kindoo experience might not be on the Forum as regularly.

That said, it's really helpful for you to share your interactions with Kindoo support, and the quick resolution they provided.
