Helvetica font weight in iOS 5

I use Helvetica font in my Gospel Library app on an iPod Touch 4th generation. After recently upgrading to iOS 5, I noticed the font weight to be much lighter. This was also apparent with the Helvitica Neue font. They seem to be using the light version instead of the regular version.
Is that just me and my setup? Can that be changed to include the option of weight? (I prefer the regular weight.)

I have the same issue with both fonts. I prefer the regular weight as well.
