Ward/Stake Emergency Plan

The "Stake and Ward Emergency Planning Guide", Step 2: Gather Critical Information, last item, states that we need to add: "Contact information for area welfare leaders and, where available. local church welfare operations". Where can I find this contact information so I may add it to to the ward emergency plan?

I'd suggest asking the clerk or executive secretary to look it up in CDOL.

Note that this information could change at any time, so you'll need to update it periodically, and in advance of any possible disaster.

In CDOL*, look at your stake information and expand ASSOCIATED ORGANIZATIONS. There you should find your assigned Bishops' Storehouse and/or Welfare Services. Come to think of it, wards probably don't need this additional information in their plan as the stake will most likely be doing all the contacting of these services on your behalf. This information should be included in the stake plan.

*Only certain callings can access CDOL, so you may need to get with someone who can.

I think the instructions on how to find it should also be part of the plan so it could be checked for the latest information.
